OK, but, can one cut 10 sharkies from 1 "package"?

Unlike some here, I dont talk shit without having proof to back it up.

And keep in mind that $48 is consumer retail price. Id imagine in mass quantities that J/C would order it it, it would be around $10-20 a set MAX.
Imagine, being able to be magically whisked away to... Delaware. Hi... Im in... Delaware...

It looks clear that Jackson skimped on the inlays. Wonder what they pay for the toilet seat ones Jack.

Yeah, and keep in mind that those are pre-cut. I would think that since Jackson does so many sharkie inlays they have a machine that custom cuts inlays to sharkie shape? If not a machine, I would think the process is at least automated/simplified to some level. Point being Jackson is most likely buying blanks, which should be even less $$ than pre-cut inlays especially considering they would buy in bulk wholesale quantity. Check out these two links:

IMO, the bottom line is that this is peanuts $$ wise. If Jackson wanted to use MOP inlays on the RR24 they could have and the upcharge would not have been much, but they chose not to.......I assume because they didn't want to compete with the USA Select RR, which IMO is a totally different guitar, but whatever. We can whine and complain until our fingers fall off, but it's probably not gonna change anything at this point.

i think my love of these guitars is hilarious considering i dont like children of bodom whatsoever. i must look like some kinda fanboy. bah.
Actually doesn't this guitar go back to Chris Holmes of WASP? I know I saw him play a black with either silver or white bevils that only had one pick up and a floyd, (and yes probably 22frets for those keeping score) and the black and yellow one that the COB guy played had wild child sticker on it which leads me to believe this guitar was the COB's fan boy guitar.

Looking around I found one pic of the guitar with out a floyd, but I know I saw one with. I'm going to have to dig out old videos.

In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

                  • Just to round the #s: $50 MOP & $65 Abalone precut Sharkfins.

I going out on a limb hear & saying I think it would be relatively easy to replace the Fretboard inlays yourself (assuming they are an exact fit). Or possibly get the inlays & have a local Tech install them & probably be around $100-$125 total (inlays & labor).

That is something I will look into when I get around to having the $$$ to get one of these.

                    • The inlays don't really look all too bad, it's the black binding on ebony that bothers me. I love the feel of binding, but it's also there for the whole appeal thing. It brings the whole guitar together.

Also, Alexi bought his first Jackson RR from Jiri from Stone.
