So does anyone know how many C/J were actually picked up by dealers at NAMM?

Apparently the whole booth sold in the end. Who knows if FMIC got the insane prices they were originally asking though....

Rare is not the same as valuable

You mean they don't just give 'em all away at the end of the show? Screw it I'm not going. :P

Shame they didn't notice that the Treasure Map doesn't have a reverse headstock!

It'll be interesting to see how many of these guitars actually sell to real people!

Thats what I was thinking. They must be sitting on some serious high dollar inventory. I just can't bring myself to spend $4000-$5000 on an SL1 or SL2 with an unusual graphic. It's certainly not going to play any different than the $1250 SL1s I already own. But thats just me.

some rich boy who can't even play, that's who.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

Yep, I agree with the comments. The only way, one would purchase these is if your in love with the graphics. I would not pay the high dollar these are demanding.
Take a look at Fuller's as an example. All the Summer '06 NAMM stock with the fancy graphics have ended up on eBay. These guitars are not moving. And at that the prices are still high.
