I´m with you, Morten... I don´t think I´ve seen a guitar with abalone binding that woulnd´t have looked better with regular creme or white binding.

The Stargazers look pretty cool. Kind of a Rickenbacker vibe. I agree they would look better with out the pick guard. DCGL already has them on their site.

Well, out of these I think the Stiletto Classic was the coolest... it´s got some really interesting specs, but that pickguard makes it look a little too much like a seventies japanese knock-off. I hope they continue to work on the design in the future, because it shows promise.

However, what I really want from Schecter is a return to the modernized strats they made before... if they could offer a cheaper alternative to a Anderson, Valley Arts or Suhr (complete with figured tops, quality hardware, modern neck specs and such) I´m sure they could sell a boatload.

they still do this, it is their american made line of guitars but it is made-to-order for the most part.

Yeah, I figured that the american shop still do the strats... I just wish they´d move some of those designs to their high-end import line. That limited Anniversary strat from a few years back was definitely a step in the right direction.
