I think the D2H may be destined to be as successful as this other patented EVH classic:

So, what exactly does this bridge/trem/chunk of scrap metal do? Is it just a Tun-o-matic with fine tuners? Didn't Schaller already do that? I thought it would be a Floyd knock-off.
                        "Dear Dr. Bill,
I work with a woman who is about 5 feet tall and weighs close to 450 pounds and has more facial hair than ZZ Top." - Jack The Riffer

"OK, we can both have Ben..joint custody. I'll have him on the weekends. We could go out in my Cobra and give people the finger..weather permitting of course.." -Bill Z. Bub

You're supposed to be able to flick the metal tab and it goes into drop D tuning or some stupid shit like that.
Ugly and a waste of time on a Tune-O-Matic type setup.
I can see it on a trem, but not a fixed bridge.

Ugly as shit. Why not just play a fixed bridge guitar and when you want to go down to D, reach over to the headstock and twist the top string's tuner down.

Exactly. It's a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

That would maybe be worth all the hoopla. It would be one hell of a feat of engineering to make everything stay in tune, since each string would need to be stretched or relaxed a different amount, but if you check out Spike's closeup pic you can see that only the low E string retainer slides back & forth.

Hipshot already makes a tuning machine that allows you to do that with the flip of a lever.
