    namm in three words......widdle, widdle, widdle

    After watching loads of NAMM vids its all widdle! Don't get me wrong i love a good shredder now and again but three days constant, well its put me off getting a guitar with a floyd rose! lol

    Some of these guys really do have taste, Timmons, Gilbert etc, but there are some real hacks out there will all style on no substance! And they all seem to play the same licks.

    I don't know if George Lynch was having an off day but some of the vids of him at NAMM, OMG!

    I've seen some Lynch on YouTube lately. I don't know what style he is chasing these days but it's not impressive. He needs to go listen to "Back For The Attack" and "Wicked Sensation". His prime.
    8 strings? Because 6 is too easy?

      he doesnt seem to know what the hell he's doing anymore. he's REALLY bored with guitar it seems. every video he's posted lately, his tone is shit, and half the video he's fucking with the amp!

        It's a shame he felt the need to butcher all his old material by "updating and down-tuning" instead of just writing new stuff. I picked up the "Revolution Live" CD/DVD combo and the "Guitar Slinger" CD and just wanted to gag. Does he do anything but cover versions these days?
        The last thing I want to do is hurt you...but it's still on the list.

            actually this is not really a bashing george thread. I have watched a few mores vids of him from NAMM and actually some of them are really darn good.
