so is it fixed now, or are the threads on the plate stripped?

They did not fully snug up, so I think they are a little stripped, but they did tighten up enough to feel 100 times better than it did. May have to drop a drop of super glue into those threads to firm them up better or something, but at least I know what the issue was.
