mid-boost Q

I have an 86 model 3. Can I install the mid-boost "pre-amp" from a 4,5 or 6 to boost the stock passive bridge pickup or do I have to swap it. Also, would I be correct in assuming I'd have to install another pot? I have a p/p pot kicking around and was wondering if that could be used to split the stock bridge pickup. I still want to swap out the Kahler fulcrum and if I went with another flushmount there'd be plenty of room for all of the extras.

The JE-1xxx electronics will work with any passive pickup but you'll need to add a battery holder of some sort, a stereo output jack for the battery switching and also in the case of the midboost a potentiometer for adjusting the amount of boost.

In my Fusion I have an 18 volt EMG setup. I just put a bunch of foam padding in the control cavity. The two batteries stay put.
