J-85 in the neck position?

Anyone ever hear of the Jackson j-85 pickup used in the neck position? I have a j-90c in the bridge which is 16k and a j-85 (laying around) which I think is 14.8k. Is there going to be a major tone difference between the 2 or will they actually work together. I'm needing a similar neck pickup.

I don't see why it wouldn't.Never tried it in the neck only the bridge.
