Hi There,
I have a couple of questions...
I have an old Jackson that I know very little about. I bought it used in the early 90's. I love the guitar. It plays great. However it has an active boost system (I believe the je 1200). This seems to make it noisy so it's been in "practice guitar" status.
I was thinking about taking this boost system out and just using the stock Jackson pickups (they look like emgs but say Jackson). My question is, will this work or are the pickups reliant on the 9volt and active system to work?
Also, I don't know much about the make/model. It is a neck-thru-body Jackson Professional. Serial J00117 with HSS pickup configuration. From the serial chart I was looking at, the serial number doesn't make sense as it has too many digits. J0035-J0406 indicates 1984 San Dimas but my serial doesn't quite match up.
Any info would be appreciated! Thanks
