Steinberger Gearless Tuners

Anyone with experience these? I'm looking for tuners for a project and I'm thinking of trying these. Specifically, will they work with a Strat with string trees?

Yeah, I'm going for wierd on this guitar.

They should work very well with a strat because the strings go inside the tuner giving bigger angle on the nut. If everything goes right you might not need a string tree at all.
