Is there actually a purpose of the screws in a humbucker?

Do you mean the ones to raise and lower the pickups or the actual ones on the pickup itself?"Too bad Kurt didn't teach John how to aim a gun."

Seriously? I honestly never knew that and I have had humbuckers for at least a decade. I guess I always assumed that they served some sort of a purpose in the production process."I would have banned you for taking part in hijacking and derailing a thread when you could have started your own thread about your own topic." - Unknown

It adjusts the output on a per-string basis... as opposed to half the strings at a time by adjusting the height of the pickup itself... pickups like the SD full shred and DiMarzio Fred/PafPro with all 12 adjustable pole pieces are great, you can really dial in your tone to exactly the way you like it, plus mini Hex bolts are alot easier to adjust than the standard Flat-head screw...Wish I could add Pics to this thing!!
