      +1...if UPS dings it up on the way there, it really doesn't matter does it??

        Agreed. Mike Learn kicks ass when it comes to refinishing, especially graphic finishes.

                  Mike can definitely do that as well. A lot of folks rave about this graphic finishes (for good reason too) but his simpler one color finishes are just as amazing as far as depth as glassiness go. Check out this Fender Strat he did for me.

                          Probably. Mike is renown for his "cool skulls".

                          To be blunt, I think Mr. Learn's technical skills as a painter are often overshadowed by his artistic abilities which are simply amazing. He does a lot of graphic finishes because he comes up with designs that few other painters can execute let alone conceive.

                          In the end, whatever the finish is it gets clear coated and he has the experience necessary to give the final product depth and glassiness.

                          From my conversations with Mike, as much as he enjoys creating crazy graphics, he doesn't hesitate to do more traditional finishes because money is money. While there may not be art in the traditional finishes there is an art to doing them well.
