Crunch lab pickup

This has been suggested to me more than a few times, I have no experience with it, but I do like the Tone Zone. How is it compared to that, and is it a pickup I can use for a lot of different types of stuff or am I going to be limited with it?

I could't find any decent clips of anyone using it, Dimarzios clips aren't all that great.
