I have a soloist which I just went though a setup on... The neck relief is about .012" at the 8th, using 9 - 42's. It plays nicely but I am getting some slight choking/buzz on the wound strings on the upper frets (14+) when playing chords. Open strings do not buzz unless I pick them REALLY hard. Would tightening the rod a touch to get more like .009 - .010 relief help the choking? I'd rather not raise the action if I can help it, which is med/low, about 1.4mm at 12th fret.
Thanks.
Thanks.
