Ditto here, on 25.5" scale anyway.

I tried the same thing with 10/9's but it was a bit floppy, so I went back to 11/10's. The lighter gauge is easier to bend but I don't find 10's difficult really. Ernie Ball for me.

.010s Eb on my Soloists. .011s on the Les Paul. Anything skinnier makes my playing sloppy. Weird because I used to prefer .008s.

Who in the world makes a 10 - 42 set? I am a string nerd and I don't know that I have ever seen them, unless you're doing a custom thing.

I use light top heavy bottoms in E so 10-52, and for C standard I use 12-56's.

                  .01's on everything.
                  Standard EB's lately.

It would be easier to ask who doesn't use 010's.

I used Ernie Ball Super slinky 9s for almost 15 years, till 2 years ago I changed to Rotosound 10s as you get a bit more depth but the tension feels like 9s ... great strings.

10-46 D'Addarios on all electrics except one that is still set up with 09.
My Duncan Designed pickups are way better than Seymour Duncan regular pickups you fanboy.

Yeah...too bad the forum doesn't have a minimum IQ.

Custom thing. Wish I could get them in a set.
I do a lot of low end lead and stretching, in addition to the normal high up lead thing and the lighter gauge EAD works for me.
Cant do 9s for GBE. Too thin, not enough tension, and weak sounding.
                        Models
The prudes may snub them, but I don't care.
                        I dont need furniture.
If its tough, shreds, and screams, Its all good.
If it gets jacked, I'll get another one.
                        And rock that sucker.

I know GHS will build custom sets if you buy a box (which is like 48 sets or something). Not sure about other brands. I know someone mentioned before I read that if you have a business you can buy individual string gauges from D'addario in bulk, too.

                            Boomers, .09 - .42.
8 strings? Because 6 is too easy?
