Do you guys know whether it is possible to buy a Hardtail wilkinson bridge?
I am finding more and more that I prefer the feel of my floyds and strat bridges (My 79 is hardtail) to a T-O-M.
I would really like to have a black strat hardtail bridge on a Jackson. I am in the market for another custom soon (Life is good right now) and am thinking a lean-mean-shred-machine idea. All black soloist, everything for maximum performance. Thing is, I pick much better with a trem but am tired of floyds.
Specs would be: (Soloist)
ash body, maple neck, ebony board, abalone sharkies + logo, archtop, Some bizzare H/H pickup config, This hardtail bridge, 5 way pickup selector (taps), two volume, one tone, white-bound neck and headstock
It would likely be in black.
I am totally in love with my Tobacco Burst soloist. It IS a TOM and find that my picking is much cleaner with a trem-style bridge, so I am interested in finding a hardtail. Anyone know of one? Price is not an issue assuming Jackson will put it on the guitar.
