The Gotoh might fit for the 580, if it's the same length as an OFR, as far as how the string lock bolts stick out. An OFR fits length-wise in a JT580 route. One of mine wasn't deep enough (Fusion HH) and also had different threads on the studs, and the other worked perfect, including putting Floyd studs into the existing busings. In both cases, the lock nut was too tall compared to the "import" nut, and the holes did not line up for mounting, either.
You could cut it down carefully by hand or you could grind the nut down but, I wouldn't recommend it as much as just paying someone $25 to buzz the shelf down and plug/redrill the holes.
