which gotoh string nut size for jackson jdr 94 ??

Is that a JT580LP currently? If it is, the nut shelf will need modification. If it is a 1-11/16" nut then the R3 would be correct.

i think thats what was on it? i dont have the trem. i bought just the body with the neck. no trem, pickups or the nut lock.

More than likely the R3 nut will be ridiculously tall compared to the import nut, and the holes won't line up (for the top-mount screws) so you'll need to modify/have someone modify the nut shelf.

Is the Gotoh going to fit the JT500 route with the longer lock bolts in the back?

or maybe my safest bet would be to take it to the shop n have the tech get all the parts for me so it;ll work :P.

The Gotoh might fit for the 580, if it's the same length as an OFR, as far as how the string lock bolts stick out. An OFR fits length-wise in a JT580 route. One of mine wasn't deep enough (Fusion HH) and also had different threads on the studs, and the other worked perfect, including putting Floyd studs into the existing busings. In both cases, the lock nut was too tall compared to the "import" nut, and the holes did not line up for mounting, either.

You could cut it down carefully by hand or you could grind the nut down but, I wouldn't recommend it as much as just paying someone $25 to buzz the shelf down and plug/redrill the holes.
