  • Contemplating the impossible

...or the insane, however you want to look at it.

Thinking about changing the 59/Jazz combo in my Jazz'R (yeah, the one where everything has to go in through the pickup cavities).

    Any pickup suggestions? 81/81? Invader/Distortion? CC/59?

Was thinking more of what I had on-hand, actually.

Really thinking about putting in the P-Rails from the Morton, but they actually sound great in the Morton already.

Are you going to try to just feed the new wires in, or do you have a plan to pull in a piece of twine or floss or something as you pull out the old wires, so you'll have something to pull the new ones in?

              Uzbekistani polkas I bet.

I think for a quirky guitar like that you need a quirky pickup. Move the p-rails from the morton and get a p-rails hot to replace it.

Hollow neckthrough, Spruce sides, maple top and back, no control cavity routing and thus no covers. Everything goes in through the pickup cavities, including the pots and jack.

String was definitely a part of the plan.

I actually find the P-Rails to be hot enough. Not sure why anyone would want such a thing to be Distortion-class.

I think I'd stay with the '59/Jazz combo.

                        +12

Leave the Jazz'r alone and make the 12 string Dominion happen.
