I haven't read the other posts, but in my experience I used to not like EMG's to much until I got an RR24M. They sound great in that axe, and not too bad in the other two guitars I have them loaded in.
It's not bad having one EMG loaded axe, but I wouldn't want all my axes loaded with the same pickups.
