Why are you considering swapping the OFR? I've never swapped one for the other, but I have guitars that have the OFR and guitars that have the Gotoh Floyd. Both of them are great bridges, but IMO neither is really better than the other. Just wondering why you don't like the OFR?

gotoh floyd has locking studs, nice feature but the holes are larger than the floyd studs so its not a complete swap. you'd have to use the floyd posts or dowel/redrill for new hole size.
i will say the fine tuners on the gotoh are pretty awesome, smooth, more refined than the OFR. the trem bar holder is better engineered as well.
having said that, i ended up selling my gotoh since i didn't want to fuck with redrilling holes on my guitar(s).Proud endorser of:

Well if the floyd studs are larger then it would just be a matter of making the holes bigger. Not doweling and redrilling. The main reason I want to do the swap is I hate the clunkiness of the OFR bar. I much prefer the push in design with no play. Ive tried to find a push in bar/collar for an OFR with no luck. Plus the locking studs are a neat idea. Another is the saddle design you get alot less buzzing. In my experience you have to really pay alot of attention when restringing an OFR and get the string perfectly in the center of the block or it will vibrate on the edges and cause some nasty sounds. The gotoh uses a saddle that guides the strings better. Many custom makers have actually gone to using the GOTOH because they have had so many QC issues with the originals. I personally haven't had any real issues with my floyd sans the knocking issue of the bar. But that alone is worth the $130 im gonna fork out for the new bridge. Im gonna see if a few of my forum buddies on the carvin forum might want to swap theirs for mine as I know alot of people prefer the OFR. But its really just a preference thing and I want to swap it. Ive been trying to get rid of the guitar its on with no luck so if im stuck with it its gonna be modded to the way I like it.

OFR's don't have a push in bar option AFAIK so no you wont find one if that's what you are looking for.The Ibanez egde does have the locking studs and push in bar.
I don't find the OFR bar clunky at all.Really? well screw Mark Twain.

im not looking for a push in bar for an OFR im looking for the gotoh push in with collar. I have the means to modify my OFR to make a Gotoh bar work but I can only find the bar and not the collar it pushes into. Thats why im going to swap the OFR for a gotoh. Not all floyds have the problem that im talking about but some are worse than others. p iIts just my opinion but I find the gotoh to be a superior design. The issues i have with the OFR might not bother some but i cant stand it. So something has to give.

floyds bar assembly suck donkey balls, i never used the newer kind only the older screw in with a more parallel bar, and these new ones or well not new, but to me, are worthless. they don't feel natural at all, i can't even stand to use it.
i wanted to go gotoh, but the strings are farther apart than ofr, and i kinda want closer actually, the floyd pro has narrower string width, but the shit bar. I need to figure out some parts to change the assembly to the old school style, it's way more fluid and solid feeling as it's literally clamped to the baseplate, the ofr style is .. it's crap.
but i love the feel of the bridge under my hand just always had it, instead of the bar i just bang on it or pull it up with my hand for effect, fuck it.

I agree! In fact when I used the collared bar for the first time, I immediately missed the screw-in type. I used to just thread them in until they got tight and then back it off one turn, always nice and steady, and if you needed to keep it out of the way, just spin it around one more turn and there you go. :dunno:
