Does anyone know if you can use gold or chrome pickup covers as found on Gibson Les Pauls, and Schecter guitars on a Jackson J90c pickup that came out of a Charvel? Will this effect the overall tone? Any info will be appreciated.

The pole pieces wont line up IIRC Dr L. Covers usually will darken the tone a bit.

You can look around for covers that are trem spaced. Just measure your pole spacing and find em. Stewmac has some and they both are different pole spacings
