Are guitar amp chicken head knobsthe same size fit as ones for guitars? I've seen tons of them on ebay.

Pots are pots, knobs are knobs. An amplifier uses the same pots as a guitar. Older tone capacitors were often rated 400 volts. Why? Makers just grabbed the caps from the amp guys and used them in a guitar even though it doesn't come close to 400 volts.Originally posted by wilkinsi View Post -
Some knobs are for knurled posts, some for smooth.
The inside diameter can prevent switching them out, but usually a smooth bore chicken head knob can be used for a knurled post.
Looks silly on anything but a vintage BC Rich and a few others though.Comment
