Why saddles have to be so expensive?

I want to replace the saddles on one of my Schaller FL. Most of the searches I did show a set of 6 saddles to be around $85. Considering the entire tremolo is $175 brand-new,it doesn't make any sense to get just the saddles. I was curious if you know a source for more affordable saddles; I am OK with using Korean/Chinese/etc parts. Thanks!
