Mind you he does not disclose the serial # but it could well be a koa given the two knobs and Sears headstock.

The fret board is filthy and the rear trem spring cover plate is missing.
Look at the grime on the back of the headstock. Also looks like a chunk was knocked off the back of the headstock and glued back in.
Headstock shape tells me it's a 97 or early 98.
The 96 headstock had more meat on the end of it.
Plus the Mocha finish rules out it being a 96 as well.
Not worth a penny over $1k in my book.
The painted back and sides on the Mocha finish defeats the whole purpose of using Koa.-Rick
