I got a body off ebay and there were bushings but no posts. Guy said it was ofr bushings. I thought an ofr wasnt a direct replacement for a jt580lp, but any way how do i remove the bushings without a post? I tried other posts i had layin around but theu just fall right into the hole:think:

I've seen some JT580LP guitars with posts that were pretty much Floyd posts, and others that are not. My SL2 was, my Fusion HH was not.
You could probably just get a bolt, maybe take it to the HW store and find a metric bolt that fits. But the bigger ones are JT6 bushings... Maybe it was a Jackson with a Floyd on JT6 posts? They did that IIRC.

I hate when sellers strip a body like that. If you have the posts, include them. If not, say so in the listing so people can avoid it.
That said, good luck finding replacements at the big parts houses like StewMac. I've yet to find exact replacements. If all else fails, drill a small hole in the back of the body (1/8") and drive them out the top with a 1/8" pin punch (if you can find one locally).I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
