I've got a Model 6 that died not long ago, chip on J1200 board failed.. I love the sounds that it used to make, but don't use the guitar out of the house much anymore.. It was my main for about 10 out of the 22 yrs I've been playing so far. I'm now at the crossroads of either putting her back to original form, or entering a new era with replacement pickups.
Wondering if, (and pretty sure) that I could put it back to original form cheaper than starting fresh with new electronics.. Those of you who have been there, what have you found that works best?
