I got a strat type guitar project. I have the action and intonation set. Their is some relief in the neck. The problem I have is at the 15th & 16th frets. On all of the strings the 15 fret the notes fretout. On the 16th fret they do the same or ring the same note as the 17 fret. Any suggestions?

From what you've said, and without having the guitar in hand, my first guess is that you have a high 17th fret. Have you tried putting a straightedge on the frets to check it out?

+1 or a loose fret that needs to be glued down.

+1 Sounds like a high fret.Check with a straight edge they may have popped up.
