Precut Graphite Tusq Nut

I have a Zakk Wylde Epiphone Bullseye Les Paul that is in need of a nut. There are no techs around my area who I can get to carve one out of a bone blank so I was thinking of just ordering one that is pre cut for a Epiphone Les Paul and trying to do it myself, by just dropping a new one in it's place. I've been told there is still more to it than that. Any suggestions.

I used the Gibson style pre-cut one for my Model 6 and it worked perfect. It's not really a "drop in replacement" but all I had to do was file the bottom till I had the string height where I wanted it and then shape the sides to fit the neck width. Straightforward and easy.
