Seymour Duncan 59=Jackson J-50 BC

Does anyone else think that the Duncan 59 is one of the closest pickups to a Jackson J-50 BC? They're both PAF style humbuckers with slightly scooped mids. I wonder how a 59 in the bridge with a Duncan Firestorm pickup boost would compare to a J-50 BC and JE-1000?

I think Screaming Demon with ceramic magnet comes close to the tone of J50bc. Anyway try 59 with ceramic magnet.

As was already said, you forgot the magnets are different. A J50BC goes for about the same price as a 59, so why not just get the real thing?

It's not a case of getting one, I was just seeing what are the closest pickups to a J50BC. But a J50BC with a JE-1000 gainboost is hard to beat.
