WTH? JT580LP Nut Question

I know ya'll are tired of hearing me whine about the nut blocks, pads or whatever you want to call them on my DK2M, but I'm confused. So, this DK2M I bought did not have the blocks. I had a BC Rich ASM that had a Floyd Special and I used those blocks till I got rid of it. I ordered blocks from allparts.com and they do not fit in the nut of my DK. The JT580LP comes with a 1 11/16 nut. The opening for the blocks seems to be 14/32. The allparts blocks are 15/32. I can't find any info on replacement JT580LP nut blocks anywhere on the web. Does anyone have extras I can buy? Or does anyone have info on where to get the correct ones. Fender=NO help. No local guitar shops have any. Guitar Center? :think:

Have you thought about a new nut altogether? Some instances though, the new nut is taller, needing either the shelf or the nut itself modified (shaved.) R3 and R4 both fit, but one is for guitars with binding, one is not IIRC.

Yeah, I was looking at replacements online. Then I got confused about the whole string spacing deal. Never even thought about what you brought up. Thanks for the info though.

just buy a whole nut like this one. looks like it may be off of a DKMG(T) so the pads will most likely be a direct fit.

just buy a whole nut like this one. looks like it may be off of a DKMG(T) so the pads will most likely be a direct fit.

Shitty day at work, got home and low and behold there was the locking nut I got off eBay. Put it on the DK2M and she played great. Love it. Not as much as my DKMG but almost. Thanks for all the suggestions.
