Yes, both of the dkmgs that I had had hz pickups with afterburner, one black, one cobalt blue. Newer ones had real emgs.

Trem locking screws are still funky after soaking and scrubbing the white shit just won't budge.

Have you tried PB Blaster yet? That shit blows WD40 away. Try it but be warned it smells like formaldehyde........

I think the switch to real EMGs was 2006.

PB blaster stinks but is a good product.
WD 40 worked to get the string locking blocks out.Cleaned all that off and used machine gun oil to lube and protect it.

DXMGs are solid guitars. Cheap for a MIJ, too. It was my first real Jackson.
