Guitarkid8: Neither binding nor inlays react with the solution, so that's good. It's just sad that the same went for the fretboard...
NotP: I did a pretty succesful (to my eyes) ebonizing of a KV4 using leather dye, but apparently those photos are dead as well. It worked great though, but on the other hand the Fiebing dye colors both inlays and binding. Can't speak for the longevity of the dye as I don't have the guitar anymore.
