Retoping a Jackson USA select Neck Thru w/ a quilt maple top

I was wondering to do this heavy mod on a KE1F plain black.
Retop the guitar with a quilt maple top and refinish with a trans-grey finish, seal the FR cavity and ad a fixed kahler.
There is a good luthier in my town but Im not sure to give this guitar to this becaure of the neck through.
Someone had retoped your USA neck thru or know about it??

WOW man awesome work, those model 6 looks bad ass, in natural quilt is more easy i guess, doing a burst that looks pro must be a pain.
But natural is a good choice.
