What pots do you use on your pro mods? 250 or 500K?

Just that mine sound superbright, mind you they are going through a Marshall DSL50 which is about as brittle as it gets anyway. I just thought I may have made a mistake by using 500k pots for the Tone Zone and JB. Maybe the manufacturer was right, I think they came with 250's.

Would I lose a lot by downrating the pots?

Through my XXX the JB also sounded shrill with a 500, I switched it to a 250 and it sure made it allot easier on the ears.

Odd. My ProMod with an A2 JB is dark. I'm going to swap in a regular TB4.

Even Seymour Duncan recommends the JB be used with a 250k pot, to tame its brightness. Some people use it with 500k and have no problem. I'd stick with 500k on the DiMarzio TZ, as that is a little darker sounding.
