OFR Big block??

Just got a new Charvel. It's a Pro Mod SoCAl HH. Pretty cool cheap guitar, but it's very light and sustain is lacking. I'm thinking about trying a Floyd brass Big Block on it to fatten it up a little. I do have the trem blocked already though. Is the brass block going to give me anything over already having the trem contacting the body of the guitar?

I "blocked" the trem by putting a screw into the body in front of the trem block so that it hits it when the springs are on there. It's not the best way to Xfer vibration, but it holds the trem in place.
