  • HELP! Question on JE1200 wiring diagram for Jackson Professional Soloist Pro

Oh... this one's a beauty... near mintm ebony fretboard, even got the JE1200... but I need to rewire the JE1200... here is the wiring diagram:

I think I got everything wired correctly, BUT.... is the A with a circle around it stand for the pickup switch? If not, where in the world do the pickups connect to the diagram?

Also... if someone could explain the STEREO JACK diagram, what do those three symbols mean?

The "A" connects to another diagram, depending on what PU-configuration you're using.
        Have a look here:

You should be able to find what you need...

The symbols of the input jack are just iconic.
If you have a look at your input jack, you'll notice two "fingers" which will contact the cable on the tip, and somewhere in the middle.
The stereo jack is just to disconnect the circuit from the battery if no cable is plugged in.
In reality these fingers usually are angled to each other like this:

All you need to do is find out which of the solder spots goes to the long "finger", which to the shorter one and which to the ring.
Having a close look, you should be able to see.

        Hope that helps.

In the pic Micha posted of the jack, you'll notice 3 wafers (the brown things) separating the tabs and their corresponding contact points (fingers).

Each finger and its tab are the same piece of metal, and are always located across from each other.

The Ground (Black) wires go to the tab on the top wafer, as it is directly contacting the actual shaft of the guitar cable (Sleeve), and to the tab directly across from the longest "finger".

The White wire goes to the remaining tab, directly across from the shorter "finger".

So, in Micha's pic, the top-most tab gets the White, as it is part of the shorter finger, and the other two get the Ground wires.
