on my DK2M to accept the larger OFR posts? I remember i tried it once with a handheld drill and ruined a gorgeous blue fllame top body. I aint got no drill press, and I aint taking it to know Lutheir, as they are all monkey assed quacks around here.

DIY methods,
A. remove posts.
B. use a 30 degree angled bevel bit to initial ream out to the new accommodating size.
the reamer "should" not grab the paint...
C. now use your drill bit of choice that would be just a tad smaller than the new posts
(you could do the ground wire to the post trick if you want to at this time)
D. Press in your new to you posts

Sears has a drill guide that you hook your hand drill to and it acts like a drill press...at least it holds the bit at the correct 90 degrees. If you go slow it will work just fine. The simplist way I found to enlarge Floyd post holes for the bushings is to use a 15/64" bit and run the drill in reverse that way it won't tear the paint, the bit should follow the original post holes nicely provided they are similar in size ( old to new ) .Comment
