  • Jackson Rhoads replacement Control Plate question

Hi, I have a midnight black USA Jackson RR1 that I'd like to swap the control plate for a gold one. I seem to have acquired way too many black on black guitars over the years and would like to change a few. haha. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew if the below RR3 new Fender/Jackson replacement part would most likely fit without re-drilling any screw holes. If it were a cheaper guitar I wouldn't care and I'd just make it work.

Jackson Rhoads Control Plates - 0062605000

Control plates designed to fit most Rhoads model guitars. Available in chrome, gold, and black. Does NOT include mounting hardware.

If you really want a high quality control cover go here. http://www.fretsonthenet.com/Charvel...kson - usa.htm Quick shout out to DonP for showing me this place. Thanks Don! He saved me a lot of time and headaches with this one a while back when my nephews broke the truss rod cover on one of my Jackson's

This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

WTF? They ship it in liquid form?

He actually just warmed me that his is made of brass and will tarnish which is really cool of him to do. I didn't think of it. I'm debating if I want to deal with that or not. I'm sure his quality is much better and I won't have to worry about the holes lining up though. Always something right?

Can't you take it to be coated? Some sort of urethane dip? Maybe just spray it with canned clearcoat for metals?

Or just get used to polishing brass.
