  • Replacement Schaller for '91 USA Soloist?

I was looking on the Warmoth site to find the proper Schaller and I'm given these options...

"Please choose one of the following nut sizes
to go with your bridge purchase
    For Right Hand

    R2 For 1-5/8" Nut width
R3 For 1-11/16" Nut width Narrow
R4 For 1-11/16" Nut width Wide
    R5 For 1-3/4" Nut width"

My question: What's the different between "Narrow" and "Wide" as described in R3 and R4... how should I measure to figure out which is the proper fit for my guitar?

Don't quote me on this.... But outside of personal preference I seem to remember the R3 mainly used with bound fretboards and R4 used with non-bound. Just as a general rule.

Here's all the info you need. FWIW my 91 has an R3 on it.
