easy wiring mods for PC1

Hi guys!
I have a few pc1s. One of them has modified wiring as position 4 sounds like it is out of phase ish.. has a more pronounced strat like quack. I will add a video showing how what I mean later.

I checked the wiring and it looks 'normal' and similar to my other pc1s control cavities.

I want to mod my other pc1s to have that sound available if needed but not sure how this was achieved .. I'm not a guitar wiring expert when it comes to pc1s.

Any of you pc1 owners mod your wiring? Love the guitar but finding myself reaching for my strat for some neck puckip situations and I'd love to get closer to that quack / neck to be on my pc1s

It may be that the humbucker was wired different and that its more pronounced in the "in between" position because its being used with the HS3 as well.

A clear photo would certainly help to clear this up?

Is this the koa Solar model that you have that I once owned? I recall it not having the standard Super 3 in the bridge but something else.

I think one of you two guys has my old euphoria? I remember changing the pickups on that and doing something to make it more stratish at one point...

Yeah its your old solar. It has a dimarzio double whammy in the bridge. Would love to know if the the difference is due to the different bridge pickup. . That would make a lot of sense if they are wired to each other. . Hmm

Problem is that I did not wire the pickup so in order to help you we need to see the pickup leads.

Can you open the control cavity and get a good shot of the bridge pickup leads? Especially where the wires were spliced into the PC harness?

That would tell us all we need to know.

I am thinking that the standard B+W soldered together with Red being hot and Green being ground may have been reversed by a previous owner.

i want to rewire this to clean it up at some point but want to make sure i can reproduce this before i touch it. hope the pics are good enough, if not i can take more angles

ok it would appear at least 2 of them sound similar. so its my newest one (chamelon) which sounds more dark / compressed and less dynamic/open. i guess i should start there and check perhaps if it was wired wrong from factory?

Could you unplug just the bridge humbucker and give us a clean shot of the entire lead?

I'm an idiot. so three of my four PC1s seem to sound similar (i just havent played 2 of them in a while). its the newest PC1 (2011?)
that is different. comparing the new one to the others appears to be same wiring. going to have to investigate the pot and cap values. victor thanks for vklobucar thanks for the help so far.

The trim pots have an effect on sound as well.

I picked that tip up from our resident PC1 expert here at the JCF Rjohnstone. He told me that the sustainer does indeed "choke" the pickups to some degree.

I have two non sustainer PC1's and they sound much more alive and still with the stock pups minus the neck sustainer of course.

do you know where i can find info on how to adjust the sustainer circuit? (what the trim pots do, etc) maybe thats the issue with my chameleon?
