Charvel model 5 pots for active midboost

Does anyone know if it is possible to replace the stock 50k pots that are required for active midboost(but passive pickups) in this guitar and replace them with 500k pots for a new pickup install. Is it possible to re-route the midboost? I believe the 50k pots are not custom pickups friendly and all I am getting is mud.
But the midboost is cool and I liked it with the stock pickups.
Any help is appreciated.
