OFR vs FR Special trem arm?

What's the difference? Need to get an arm for a FR special. Are they the same?

Mechanically they are the same, so you can fit either to your trem. I've found the collar on the 1000 always unscrews and lets your bar flop around. Replace with German parts. Bar and mount

Sorry - I misread. I don't know anything about the Special. I only know the German and the FRT 1000

They are not the same, OFR/Schaller arm and socket are much better. It has metal pin type bushing and FR Special has plastic ring type bushing. Special arm starts to wobble very soon after tightening, and there is always some movement between collar and arm.

Buy an OFR trem arm and collar, I did.

My Floyd Special arms have the same style collar as the OFR. Although the OFR arm has a steeper bend & is taller. Go with the OFR arm unless you don't use the trem much.
I'm a nut though & prefer the push in style OFR arm.
