Hi,
I want to change the Jackson licensed FR to an OFR. However, I cannot understand whether the locking nut on the guitar is an R3 or R4. Then again I am not sure I understand the exact difference since I read many different things on the web. I read that the difference is about the string spacing but what would work better for my guitar? Does it really matter?
I have a Jackson RR PS3-T (Performer) made in 1999 in Japan. The current locking nut says 300-BH43. I am also looking to change the neck with one of the newer RR models but that is proving to be mission impossible so I will focus on nuts.
I'd appreciate your help with this!
