Headphone amplifier? Cork Sniffer AKGs or whatever audiophile sit in your room type cans, yes. Cheap gaming or computer headphones often have a built in amplifier. "walkman" grade ear buds? No. Wireless in-ear monitors for stage use? No.

There are so many ways you can do this, finding a cheap 2 or 4 channel mixer would probably a lot better than just some combiner box.
Basically, if your headphones don't brag about their impedance, you probably don't need an amp. Lol

Edit: The one I linked is an actual mixer, it's even powered (lol 1 input). Probably the cheapest workable option new, but definitely should work.

I would say use the left (mono) input on 2/3 and left (mono) input on 4/5. You could also probably use the 1/4" on channel 1, then use the L (mono) on 2/3 or 4/5, and would also probably work if you used L and R on 2/3 or 4/5. The headphones part i think you can figure out. Lol

It may look confusing at first but just think of it as a 3 channel mixer. Channel 1 is mono, the other 2 are stereo. The eq section is only for channel 1. The 2-track section is for adding in another source like a cd/mp3 player, or sending a parallel out.

You should be able to plug the emulated headphone outs into the mixer and then your headphones into the mixer out.

Headphones will need it's own amplifier

I used a headphone jack into the input of the Splitmix and it requires an amplifier at each output if you want to use it as a headphone splitter.

So this one is out of question.

I've heard about people using the Mackie mixer as well, think it runs $100 though.

That Behringer MX400 has only mono jacks. But a headphone has a stereo plug. So this won't work.

Good idea. I wonder whether there is such thing as an A/B box for headphones?
