Tremolo inserts moving/sliding out of the body...

Asking help from my JCFers here.

My SBMM Cutlass was not staying in tune. So decided to change the strings. Then I noticed the pivot inserts were moving & sliding out of the body. So what do I do to fix this? Fill the cavities with glue and put back the inserts? And let them dry in place? Comments and help welcomed.

how loose? A tiny bit, you can use some good woodglue, if there is any slop, dowel it and redrill

As loose as in my video. I ended using extra strong wood glue. Will let it dry for a few days and re-install everything. I'll keep ya posted. Thanks.



Anyway, I need to fix the 5 way switch too.

Make sure they set perpendicular to the body and not cocked.

Daddy goes into mommy pretty neatly! Just hoping the glue will be strong enough. But I could also use epoxy if the problem comes back.
