Just bought a new tube from Germnay to Australia, sound playing up

Hi guys I just got a Randall RD 20 delivered from Thomann in Germany to Melbourne Australia.

The amp works but the sound will go down in volume greatly. Like you know how your amp has that sweet spot on the volume knob its like your in that spot tyen you get volume turned down 2 to 3 steps.

Im thinking a bad powertube? The amp still plays, like i can turn it up and the clean sounds fine, not over driven so prob not a bad pre amp tube?

give the powertubes a wiggle, just to make sure they are seated properly after their international trip.

It could also be oxidation in the loop jacks. I've had amps that have dipped in output because of that. Put a bit of WD40 on a plug & work it in and out of the jacks a few times to clean them up.

Ended up being a loose fx loop tube. Ive never yanked an amp out of its head b4 quite the experience haha.
