Cheapest place to get wire?

I'm going to completely replace all of the electronics in an old guitar I have, do you guy know the current cheapest place to get a spool generic wire I can use to hook up the pots and selector switch?

Pull it out of a car in a junkyard?

Maybe cheapest isn't the best.

Spend a little more and get some at Walmart. I know the automotive section has some.
