First I thought they were single locking trems (since the balls were kept) which I once had on an Ibanez RG270, which went out of tune after every dive
but it turns out there is a clamp nut inside the tube/finetuners
And from what I understand, it ís possible to work with top and recessed floyd placements (though it seems one needs to order an extra tremblock of different lenght if they were to install this in a recessed floyd cavity)
