What's the best way to shave the neck of a guitar to get a thinner profile?
I have previously (on a different guitar) tried measuring at every other fret or so, then hand sanding with a block to get to where I want it to be, but I'm guessing there's a better way, that will help ensure a uniform slope to the backside (thinnest at the 1st fret, getting thicker as you move up the fretboard). Anyone have any tricks, tools, etc., to recommend? Thanks!
