Charvel 3DR

HI all,

I came across a 3DR and it looks that there are some modifications.
Humbucker pickup changed and it looks the same with the switch control. RIght now there is a 5 way super switch.
Is that original or not?
the tone from all positions seems not what you expect tbh.
Any ideas?

I can not see the switch on your 3dr, but The 3dr's and predators do have a very unique 5 way switch with many connections. it splits coils and combines the pickups, depending on switch position.

Any idea how to connect or if there is a diagram for that?

sorry the 3dr I have has been changed to an 8 pin switch. Lots of members have asked this and I do not remember any posts showing a diagram. How ever I will open up my predators and look maybe one out of 5 still has that switch.

I am not sure if that one is the original or someone just tried to make some experiments.

Ok I have 1 out of 6 guitars that came with the super switch originaly that looks to be wired correctly, I do not know about drawing it out though, it is a hot mess in that cavity, and I don't really want to take it apart to do so. I will see If I can get a picture or 2 of it. Geokas the jumpers on my switch are nothing like yours in your pictures.

Thats why I am looking for more info, this one looks like a fender super switch. I think someone just replace the original one but all the soldering looks looks alright except the hot wires from pickups
